Going to the Park

My child is PALE. I have been waiting to take him outside for walks and things until I was really ready to expose him to the sunlight. On Saturday, Bey and Eva came over to play, so we took lunches to the park and decided to give it a go. We lathered all the children in 50SPF sunscreen, got Riley dressed in his new shorts and flip flops, and off we went.


He was having a really good time playing with all the toys, until Trav started teasing me about swine flu all over everything, then we stopped lol


Now, we are good parents, I swear... At first Trav was holding Riley just to make the first picture look like he was holding himself up, then daddy decided it would be funny to let go.. but he TOTALLY held on long enough BY HIMSELF for me to snap a shot. If you look close enough in the second picture, you can see his right hand starting to slip. This is a real shot. My kid is buff.



After our big day out, he fell asleep on the way back, so we took a couple laps around the block to enjoy the nice weather. Once we got home, I noticed Riley's cheeks were pink, and so was his forehead. He didn't get burned by any means, but I guess even with 50SPF, pale skin is pale skin.
