Super Bowl XLIII

My boy is SUCH a boy. He would watch football or basketball on TV for hours if he didn't need to take breaks for food and a nap. He sat in his little recliner for 3 hours happy as can be watching the pre-game show.

He was a little mad when I took him downstairs for his lunch and afternoon nap, but he didn't have much of a choice when he zonked out in my lap. lol But after some much needed rest, he came back upstairs right in time to watch daddy and Uncle Beav pre-play Arizona vs. Steelers on Madden (x-box 360) to see if they could predict the outcome of the game. Daddy even let him play a little...

When we dress him up in what we call 'human clothes' (meaning not jammies, but things real people wear. Not that he isn't human or a real person, oh, you know what I mean), Trav always finds something in the closet that makes him look 'over the top'. Today it was the hunting hat our Aunt T gave Riley for Christmas. It's still a bit big, but should fit perfect for the deer hunt next October. Needless to say, it only stayed on long enough for me to snap this picture with my phone, explaining the bad quality, but I just love his little grin!

It was a long night, with many snacks and naps, but overall, he was a happy boy being with the boys (and mom, but mostly boys). He missed the 4th quarter which was the most exciting part of the game, due to a nap. Naturally we were hoping the Cardinals would win because the Steelers stole the Super Bowl away from the Seahawks a couple years ago. Of course he doesn't know or care either way, but right as the Steelers officially won, he broke out into tears! He must be so in tune with mom and dads feelings.

All and all, it was a good day. Good food, good company, and good baby, what more could a mom ask for on her babies first Super Bowl!

I think you had more fun than I did. I was in the bedroom trying to keep Kodi (my dog) from banging on the bedroom door because we had "strangers" in the house.

Riley is such a cutie!

Love you!

Les
